InformationBodyPassword-protected documents of certain file types can be uploaded to a data room if their passwords are provided to the processing system. To scan and process files for viewing in the Secure Content Viewer, the document processing system must be able to view a file's content. When a password is correctly entered, the file processes and becomes available. Accepted file types with passwords: .docx.xlsx.xls.pdf All other file types with passwords will fail processing automatically. They stay in the Action Required section, and the user can either replace or delete them from their project. Users, depending on their permissions, can then view the file in the document viewer without needing a password. However, when it is downloaded in its native format, the password is still needed to open the file. To process password-protected files: 1 Go to the Action Required section in the Shortcuts on the left. 2 Tick the checkbox for a single document. 3 Click Enter Password. 4 Enter a password and click Submit. or 1 Notice a red triangle for a document, in the Favorites column. Scroll right to the Status column. 2 Click the red text Processing Failed - Password Protected. 3 Enter a password and click Submit. Note: Only Project Admins can access Action Required and submit passwords. When a password is correctly entered, the file processes and becomes available.
