How do I process a password-protected file?

  1. Go to ​​​​​the​ Documents tab.
  2. In the main content grid, locate the file and scroll horizontally to the 'Status' column. Click the red 'Processing Failed' status text. 
  3. Enter the password in the field provided.
  4. Click Submit.


If a reviewer with manage permissions sees a red triangle next to an item in a folder where they have upload access, they can tick it's checkbox and see why the document failed, indicating it is a password protected file.
Further, if they know the password, they can contact a Project Admin to provide the password to the processing engine as described above.

 

After a password protected file has been processed, it can be converted to download-only by contacting us and placing a request to do so, as it has passed relevant security checks.
Therefore, although we don't offer download only for password protected files, we can provide this service when a document is processed in the usual way.
