What is the Processing section in the Shortcuts?

Most files when uploaded to a project go through processing to become searchable and viewable. A dot beside the Processing section indicates files are still processing and not yet available. Large or complex files can take longer to process than other files.


Files that are processing:

  • Go through OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
  • Convert to PDF for the Secure Document Viewer and the Previewer
  • Are checked for viruses and corruption
  • Are checked for encryption and passwords
  • If a file is encrypted with a password, corrupted, or has a virus, it will show up in the Action required tab.

    Some file types are known as Bypass files     and will automatically become ‘Download Only’ because they are not able to be processed.
