How do I set the frequency of email notifications from Datasite?

If your Project Administrator has turned notifications on for your project, you can choose when you'd like to be notified when new documents have been added to your project, when there are updates to Q&A, or when a Trackers item has been assigned or commented.

Notifications are set at the project level. When you access your Notifications, each project you have access to appears in a notifications grid.

 

To set notifications frequency:

  1   From any screen within Datasite, click your name in the upper right.

  2   Select Notifications Settings.

  3   Select notification frequencies by clicking into a cell. Set bulk frequencies by clicking a clock icon:

• Per project for all notification types
• Per notification group for notification types for all projects
• Per notification type for all projects

                 Choices include:

• Instant - Alerts are sent at 5-minute intervals for new documents, and immediately for Q&A
• Hourly - Alerts are sent at the top of the hour
• Daily - Alerts are sent once per day, at 12pm UTC (default setting) with the exception of New Document alerts, where timing depends on project datacenter location as follows:
  • AUS - 23:00 UTC (07:00 ACT)
  • EU - 06:00 UTC (07:00 CET)
  • US - 12:00 UTC (07:00 CT)
• Never

• Documents
  • Document Comments/Mentions - Notifies recipients of '@mention' notifications in Acquire projects where the functionality is activated
  • New documents added to the inbox - Sent to Project Admins if a file is sent to the Inbox
  • New documents added to the sandbox - Sent to Project Admins or reviewers with manage permissions if a file is replaced or reprocessed in the Sandbox
  • New documents added to the index - Sent when access is first granted to files via permissions or publishing, or to Project Admins or reviewers with manage permissions if a file is replaced or reprocessed
• Q&A
  • Q&A Updates (for enabled projects) - Any activity that moves a question or answer to a new level generates an alert to the individual or team selected to address in the next step of the workflow. 
• Trackers
  • New Assignments - Sent when a Tracker item has been assigned to you or your group in an Assign to column
  • New Comments (for enabled projects) - Notifies recipients of '@mention' notifications in projects where their role has View Comments Feature Access Permissions set.

If no changes are made during the selected notification period, no alert is sent.
 

 

How do I change my notification language?

This setting determines the language of notification emails you receive from Datasite.

 

  1   Click your name in the upper right.

  2   Select My Profile.

  3   Click in the Language field and select a language.

  4   Click Save.

 

To change the user interface language of Datasite applications, update the default language of your browser.
