How do I turn on or turn off new document email alerts?

Datasite offers the ability to send an email to reviewers when new documents are added to the project. This functionality is on by default, and can be turned on and back off as desired.
 

To turn on Email Alerts:

  1   Go to the Settings > Email Alerts card.

  2   Slide the toggle to the right to enable email alerts.

  3   The alerts are sent from the following address: service@datasite.com

 

To turn off Email Alerts:

  1   Go to the Settings > Email Alerts card.

  2   Slide the toggle to the left; the toggle appears grayed out.

 

Email alerts are only sent when new files have been added to the project. Reviewers can set their alert frequency to hourly, daily, or never, based on their own preferences (the default is daily).
 

• Hourly alerts are sent at the top of the hour.
• Daily alerts are sent once per day, at 7 am CT, CET, or ACT depending on your location.
• Alert messages containing up to 25 new documents include the document titles; alerts containing 26 or more new documents display the total number of new files only, without titles. Reviewers can access the full list with titles in the New area of the Shortcuts panel.
• Files in alert messages that can be viewed in the Secure Viewer are linked to in the alert; download-only files are included in the listing, but aren't linked.
