How do I turn email alerts on or off for a project?

Datasite can send users email notifications when new documents are added to a project or when published documents become available to them. Email alerts are on by default. Project Admins can turn them off or on for the project as needed.

Turn on email alerts

1. Go to Settings > Email Alerts.
2. Turn on the Email Alerts toggle.

Email alerts are sent from service@datasite.com.

2. Turn off the Email Alerts toggle.

About new document email alerts

Each user controls how often they receive email notifications. For available frequencies and instructions to change notification settings, see Notifications.

• Alert messages for up to 25 new documents include the document titles.
• Alert messages for 26 or more new documents show the total number of new documents without listing their titles. Users can view the full list in the New area of the Shortcuts panel.
• Documents that can be viewed in the Secure Viewer are linked in the email alert.
• Download-only documents are listed in the email alert but are not linked.
