Within an instance, Outreach users can: Add a new company to the instance and to a projectAdd a new company to the instanceAdd an existing company to a project Add a New Company to the Instance and to a Project New companies and contacts can be added by manually entering data for each company, or via copy/paste from a spreadsheet. Each method is described below.To add via copy & pasteThis method allows for quick tracker entry of data you are tracking via spreadsheet. 1 Within the project, select the Tracker tab at the top of the page, next to the project name. 2 Select Add Buyers in the top-right corner of the Tracker area (or Creditors, Lenders, Investors depending on project settings). 3 Choose Add Companies & Contacts. 4 If this is your first time using this tool, select the 'Watch tutorial' link to view an instructional video. 5 Click Copy & Paste. 6 Inline prompts serve as guides to the process. These can be closed by clicking the 'x' icon within the suggestion box. 7 From your spreadsheet, copy the cell block you wish to paste into your project tracker (excluding column heads). The import works best if your spreadsheet columns match those in the project user interface, in the same order. Rearrange columns in the tracker via drag and drop as needed. 8 Place your cursor in the tracker cell representing the upper leftmost cell of copied content; Ctrl+V to paste. 9 Resolve errors. 10 Click Next.The system will then prompt you to add contacts using the same steps described above. When completed an 'Import successful' message appears. Click Finish.To add manually: 1 Within the project, select the Tracker tab at the top of the page, next to the project name. 2 Select Add Buyers in the top-right corner of the Tracker area (or Creditors, Lendors, Investors depending on project settings). 3 Choose Add Companies & Contacts. 4 Click Add Companies. 5 Select Create Company. 6 Fill out the information in the pop-up window. All others are optional. 7 Choose Create to add the new company to the instance. 8 Click Show Selected to view your new company. 9 With the new company already selected via checkbox, choose Add to Project to add the new company to the project you're working in. Partial entries filter by the characters entered. 6 Select the desired companies via check box.
