The column types necessary to create a linked fileroom are:

• Request number
• Requested Item
• Short Text

 

Short text will work for folder title but the preferred option is Requested Item. 
It's the largest free text column type that works with the fileroom creation tool.

Request Number nests subfolders in their correct locations. 

If you haven't selected the right column types when importing your Tracker, there are 2 ways to fix it:

Re-import the tracker: This solution will suit you if the tracker is not restricted.

1. Export your tracker.
2. Re-import your tracker.
3. Select these column types: 
   • For folder names: Requested Item
   • For Index numbers: Request Number
4. Click Save.
5. Create your linked fileroom by clicking the blue fileroom icon next to the tracker name in the upper-left.

Alternately you can Add a new column and select Requested Item. This is a good solution if your tracker is restricted.
 

1. Drag this column next to the folder name column.
2. Click and drag the entire column of the folder name.
3. Press Ctrl+C or Cmd+C to copy.
4. Select the first cell in the newly created Requested Item column and Ctrl+V or Cmd+V to paste.
5. Remove the old column containing the folder names.
6. Create your linked fileroom using Create Fileroom.
