InformationBodyThe Rapid Redact app allows quick and easy redaction of single PDF files of 50MB or less. Upon logging into Datasite, access Apps located in the left sidebar. To redact a PDF file: 1 On the apps page, within the Rapid Redact app tile, select Open. 2 Drag and drop the file you'd like to redact into the file upload field, or click Browse to navigate to the file and select it. Use sizing controls at the top of the redaction window if needed to magnify your view of the file. 3 Enter search terms in the 'Add by keyword search or patterns' search box and click Enter on your keyboard to begin. Or click into the box and choose from available search patterns - credit card numbers, phone numbers or email addresses. You may also select redaction regions manually by hovering over the pertinent section, then clicking and dragging to create a redaction box. 4 Select all returns that you'd like to redact via the associated check box and click Add Mark. 5 Review the items selected. At this point you can remove unwanted items by clicking the 'X' in the associated tile, or perform additional searches. Final selections are entered into your 'Marked for Redaction' list. 6 Once all desired redactions appear in your 'Marked for Redaction' list, select Redact & Download. Confirm that you wish to proceed by choosing Redact & Download again. The redactions are performed and the file downloads to your local 'Downloads' folder. Once applied redactions are permanent.
