The ability to upload a new file to a project within a Q&A answer pane is available to Q&A Answer team full admins and Reviewers with Manage Permissions on the Answer team. Additionally, the user must be assigned to the same workflow as the question in order for this option to be available. Use this option only for files that are not currently posted in the project index. If you'd like to link a file that already exists in the project index, see Q&A Content Linking.

To upload files to an answer

1. From within the Answer Question pane, select Upload New File.
2. Select the desired index location. Note that using this method, files are uploaded to your project index and will be available for reviewers.
3. Click Next.
4. Browse to the file storage location or drag and drop the file into the upload window; click Next.
5. Choose desired publish and permission settings options; select Upload. Note that Reviewers with Manage Permissions cannot change permission settings during the upload process, and all content is uploaded in an unpublished status.

The file is now uploaded and subsequently linked to the answer. Links can be deleted by clicking the red 'x' icon associated with the linked file.
