InformationBodyCategories in Q&A help you organize your questions and answers and, with the use of workflows and workgroups, route them to subject matter experts. Categories are important for the final step of creating your workflow(s). Site admins on the Q&A answer team can create and edit categories. Access the Q&A tab, then the Q&A Settings button, and finally the Categories tab. The default categories are: FinanceGeneralHRITLegalTax To create additional categories, enter a name in the 'Question category name' field and click Add. To rename a category, select the category and enter the new name. To delete a category, click the trash icon associated with the question category. There is one level of categories available and there isn't a limit of how many categories can be created in Q&A during setup. Keep in mind, all categories are visible to all question teams.The Question Team members assigned to workflow group(s) can submit questions for the categories assigned to their workflow.If you want to restrict members of the Answer Team from seeing all submitted questions in the Q&A, create custom workflows for the Answer Team. Modifying Categories Adding or removing categories or workflow groups will reset all questions back to level 1 of the edited workflow. The category of any question can be changed by a Question Team member before the question has been been submitted to the Answer Team, or by the Answer Team at any time before submitting the answer to the Question Team. In addition to this, a user in the Answer Team can only change the category if they are in the same workflow level as the question.
