InformationBodyThe Comment feature in Acquire allows users to make document annotations in two ways: Comment - Creating a text comment on documentText tools - Marking text via highlight, strikethrough, underline, or squiggly CommentWhen viewing a file in the secure document viewer (see View a File), you have the option of creating comments on the file that can be: Private - viewable only by you (and any tagged user - @username) Public - viewable by all users provided the document is not set to hidden for the user's role and access is granted to comments under feature access in the permissions tab. Both private and public comments can be shared via '@username' functionality.To comment on a file in the document viewer: 1 Click the comment icon located in the viewer toolbar. 2 Place your cursor on the document in the area pertaining to your comment and click; a comment panel opens in the right panel. 3 Type your remarks in the comment field. To keep your comment visible only to you, ensure the Private toggle is selected To allow specific users to view your private comment, type '@username' in the comment field and choose the desired user from the picklist; the selected user can now see your comment To allow comment viewing to all users with permission to access the document, ensure the Public toggle is selected When using the '@username' function, mentioned users receive email notification that they've been mentioned in a comment, with a link to the file Comments that are made public do not send out any notifications to users who can access that file, unless the users are tagged using '@username' function 4 Click Save. Comments and comment threads can be removed by the original author by clicking the comment and choosing the Delete icon. Comments can be edited by the author by clicking the Edit link accessed via the options menu (3 dots) in the comment panel on the left.Text toolsTo mark a file with text tools when viewing documents in the document viewer: 1 Click one of the text tools icons located in the viewer toolbar. 2 Choose the relevant text tool that you want to use for marking. Choose the desired color and opacity from the four color options. 3 Use your cursor to highlight the text that you would like to mark and click; a text tool panel opens with the marked text in left panel 4 Edit the marked text as necessary, use @username to tag users, and choose whether the marked text is to be set open to public or private similar to commenting. 5 Click Save. To edit or delete saved comments:Click on the comment, and click the options menu (3 dots) to edit or delete text, or click the Comment icon to edit the color or delete using the trash can icon.Users can use search and filter functions to quickly find comments. Click Notes icon in the upper options menu, then, Enter keywords or tagged usernames in the 'Search comments...' fieldTo sort comments choose from the following: PositionCreated DateModified DateStatusAuthorTypeColor To filter choose the Filter icon and select from the following Comment byInclude RepliesTypes CommentFree TextHighlight Color Click Apply to make your filter active.
