What numbering scheme does Datasite use to build it folder structures?

Our recommendation is to create a folder structure from an imported excel document numbered in a dot decimal notation system. Each subfolder adds an additional dot, period, also called a full stop. 

For example:

  • 1.1
    • 1.1.1
  • 1.2
    • ​​​​​​​1.2.1
    • 1.2.2
  • 1.3 - 1.10
  • 1.11 etc.

 

In a Diligence project there is a folder creation import template in the Sandbox area. In Acquire, Diligence, and Prepare a project a tracker can be imported and folder synced to create a folder structure.

Both of these tools use the dot decimal notation system to create folders, sub, and sub-subfolders.
