Tear Sheets

A tear sheet is a one-page .pptx slide that gives important details about a company.

Create a Template | Export 

Before a Tear Sheet can be exported in Pipeline a template must be created. 

Create a Tear Sheet Template in Pipeline

 1   Go to your tracker.

 2  Click Tear Sheet.

 3  Select Create New Template.

 4  Select a Grid Layout. Select from:

• Square
• Right Sidebar
• Left Sidebar
• Two Columns
• Two Rows
• Four Quadrants
  
  

 5  Click Next.

 6  Enter a Tear Sheet Name.

 7  Optionally select a Target as a preview example. The first alphabetical Target is selected by default.

 8  Click in the border around a section to set the canvas dimensions and toggle Datasite branding. Click Done to save your changes.

 9  Click in a section to adjust its margins. Click Done to save your changes.

 10  Drag and drop a component to a Tear Sheet section. When dragging components to sections with existing components note a green guideline location. Dragging a component to a place with a red guideline will cancel the drag and drop.  
The available components are:

• Generic
  • Open Text Field - Free text, useful for labels and static text
  • Select Text Field - Text from a column
  • Tag - A blue pill shaped component for 
  • Card - A box with a light grey border for text from a column. Includes the column name
    
    
• Special
  • Activities - list the Activities for the Target
  • Contacts - list the contacts for the Target
    
    

 11  Click a component to customize it. Component controls vary.  

1. 1. Select a column to populate the component.
   2. Drag sliders to alter a component's font size, margins, and dimensions. 
   3. Click Done when finished.

 12  Click Save.

In the upper right of the Template creation window:

• Click Preview to toggle an example of the Tear Sheet
• Click Export to save your Target example as a .pptx file
• Click Delete Tear Sheet to delete a template
  

 

 

Export

All Tear Sheets are exported as a .pptx file. If multiple tear sheets are exported at the same time a slide deck is created with multiple slides.

 

 1  Tick a checkbox for each Target.

 2  Click Tear Sheet.

 3  Select Export.

 4  Select a Tear Sheet template.

 

Alternately, you can export a single Tear Sheet from the template editor.

 1  Click Tear Sheet.

 2  Select Edit Templates.

 3  Click the Preview as Target field.

 4  Select a Target.

 5  In the upper right click Export.
