A user can set sorting preferences in their columns by using arrows in column headers or by setting row groups in some tabs.

 

Sorting Using Arrows in Column Headers

Click a column header once to sort content within a column. Click again to reverse the sort order. Click a third time to return to a default state.
In Outreach, hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click column arrows, or Cmd on a Mac, to sort multiple columns.

 

Method 1: Sort By Row Groups Using Column Headers

 1    Drag and drop at least one column header into the row at the top labeled 'Drag here to set row groups.'

• Column headers displayed in this row are called row groups

• When sorting by multiple row groups, the sort order is left to right

• The grid displays sorted content by groups automatically

 2   As needed, adjust the sort order of row groups to your liking.

•  Click and hold the waffle icon next to the group's name, then drag the group left or right

• To remove a row group, click the x icon

 

Method 2: Sort By Row Groups Using the 'Columns' Panel

 1   Click 'Columns' on the right to open the panel.

• The panel displays column headers and row groups in sections

• Selecting and holding the waffle icon next to a column header name allows it to be dragged down to the row groups section

 2    Drag at least one column header to the row groups section.

• When sorting by multiple row groups, the sort order is top to bottom

• The grid displays sorted content by groups automatically

 3    As needed, adjust the sort order of row groups to your liking.

• Within the row groups section of the 'Columns' panel, drag a column header up or down

• To remove a row group, click the x icon

 4    Click 'Columns' on the right to close the panel.
