Pipeline contacts

The Contacts tab is where all of your target opportunity's people are maintained.

Adding a new Contact

Contacts can be added in both the Trackers and Contacts tabs. 
 

Adding a contact from the Contacts tab

 1   Go to the Contacts tab.

 2   Click Add Contact.

 3   Fill out the form, clicking Show More to add expanded details.

 4   Click Add.


To add a large number of contacts either copy and paste from a spreadsheet or import your contacts using one of two file types:
 

• Outlook export (.csv)
• Download a template and populate your data

To use the Import Contacts tool:

 1   Go to the Contacts tab.

 2   Click Import.

 3   Click Download Template.

 4   Fill out the ContactImportTemplate and save it as an .xlsx.

 5   Return to the Contacts tab.

 6   Click the Import button again, if necessary.

 7   Browse for or drag and drop your ContactImportTemplate. 

 8   Click Import.

If you have an Outlook contact export, browse or drag and drop it in the Contact Import window and click Import.

 

 

To paste from a spreadsheet:

 

 1   Compare the Contact tab to your spreadsheet and confirm they have the same column order. 

 2   Copy the contact information from your spreadsheet. If the Opportunities column contains an exact match for a Target in the Trackers tab, the contact will be automatically linked to that Target.

 3   Go to the Contact tab.

 4   Click Add Row, at the bottom.

 5   Click into the leftmost cell in the new row. This opens the cell to enter text, we don't want that.

 6   Press/type Esc. This exits the cell editor. The cell should now be surrounded by a solid border.

 7   Paste with Ctrl-v/Cmd-v.


 

Adding a contact from the Trackers tab

When linking a contact to a target opportunity you can also create a new contact directly in your tracker.

 1   Go to the Trackers tab.

 2   Double click a cell in the Contacts column.

 3   Click Find or Add New Contacts.

 4   Click Add New Contact.

 5   Add the contact's information, clicking Show More to add additional details.

 6   Click Add.

 7   Click Done to link your newly created contact to your target opportunity.

 

Deleting a contact

When a contact is deleted, it is unlinked from its target opportunity.

 1   Go to the Contacts tab.

 2   Select a contact by ticking the checkbox to the left of its name.

 3   Click Delete.

 4   Confirm, and click Delete again.

 

Modifying a contact

 1   Go to the Contacts tab.

 2   Double click a cell. If the cell has a link, double click in the padding space around the link.

 3   Press Enter or click on another cell.


Alternately:

 1   Go to the Contacts tab.

 2   Click the double sided arrow to the left of the Contact name.

 3   Press Enter or click on another cell.

 4   Modify the contact's information, clicking Show More to modify additional details.

 5   Click Update.

Managing your contact list

You can filter and sort your columns. Reorder them by dragging the column headers left and right.

Target opportunities and Activities can be added to a contact and new Activities and new opportunities can be created from within an expanded contact record view. Hover and click the double-sided arrow on the left of a contact's row to use the Expand Record view.
