To access the MergerLinks from your Datasite home page, click the Apps tab > MergerLinks tile > Learn More.

 

On the app landing page click Try Now.

 

Functions

Filter

You'll notice several categories available for filtering. These include:

• Deals
• Dealmakers
• Service Providers
• Funds
• Corporates

Choose whichever tab you're interested in to start. Filterable criteria resides in the drop-down menus listed in the top row below the selected tab, and available filters are specific to each tab.

 

Select criteria via checkbox. Your results update automatically upon selecting filtering criteria, and conveniently display in the 'Search Criteria' box above your search category tabs.

 

Deselect items from your search by removing selected items via checkbox within the filter panel, or clicking the 'X' within the associated item in the 'Search Criteria' panel.

 

Search

Use the search field at the top of the page to find specific entities by name or location. Type in your desired key term and hit Enter. Results appear below, categorized by filter criteria. To view all items related to a key term search, select the 'View all...' link at the bottom of each category panel.

 

Register

To unlock the full MergerLinks platform, allowing you access the entire dataset, advanced analytics tools, and the ability to save, share, and export your searches, click Start free 30 day trial. Choose Continue with Datasite to register. Registering with your Datasite credentials expands your free trial by an additional 60 days, for a total trial period of 90 days.

 

 1  If your account is protected with two-factor authentication, enter your phone number and click Continue.

 

 2  Enter the code and click Continue.

 

 3  Proceed through the next four panels to create your profile.

 

Dynamic Homepage

The "Your Recent Projects & Apps" section now automatically shows the last three projects the user has been working on. This dynamic view changes based on what the user recently opened, so you can quickly jump back into your work without any hassle. If you need to find a different project, just click on the Projects Tab to access the full list.

You'll also have easy access to the latest FY23 League Tables and M&A Daily News, provided by MergerLinks. These updates are tailored to your regions of interest and ensure you always have the most current and accurate information. This information is automatically updated and fixed in place, so you can always rely on it being up-to-date and ready when you need it.

 

MergerLinks - Deal Submission

Deal Submission, a new feature in MergerLinks, accessible at the top right corner of the platform. This tool is designed to keep you more engaged by allowing you to focus on different stages of the deal-making process.

As a professional deal maker, the client has likely worked on many deals, and it's important to showcase your contributions. With this new feature, the client can publicly share their achievements, which not only highlights their success but also opens doors for networking, increases opportunities to originate new deals, and encourages collaboration with other deal makers.

While other platforms may have something similar called "Deal Submissions," we've crafted our own unique version to make the process smoother and more beneficial for the client. It’s easy to use, with just a simple two-step process. Client will be thrilled about this as it offers a new way to share and celebrate their deal-making successes!

 

MergerLinks - Request Credit for Your Involvement in Transactions

A new feature on MergerLinks that lets you request credit for your role in existing transactions. Unlike other M&A platforms like Mergermarket, PitchBook, and CapIQ, where this isn’t possible, MergerLinks gives you the opportunity for the to receive individual recognition for their contributions.

On those other platforms, not being able to claim credit can feel isolating and impersonal. MergerLinks, however, is all about building a sense of community and connection. It’s designed to be a network where professionals like our clients can share your achievements and connect with others.

Now, when the client sees a transaction on MergerLinks that they were part of, the client can easily request credit for their involvement.
