What is Grata for Pipeline?

Grata for Pipeline integrates Grata’s extensive company database with Pipeline, allowing you to quickly enrich your trackers with up-to-date information on millions of companies, eliminating the need for manual research and helping you move faster on deals. 

 

How to use Grata for Pipeline

1. Create a new tracker in Pipeline.
2. Click Search in a cell of the the Grata column.
3. Enter the company name or web address (excluding 'www.' is recommended for better results).
4. Choose the correct company profile from the search results.
5. In the Actions column, select the data fields you want to include.
6. Click Sync with Grata Data to populate the tracker. You can re-link or manually edit the data at any time.

• What is the difference between the free and premium version of the Grata add-on?

Free Version:
All Pipeline customers automatically receive access to 6 core Grata data fields:

These Premium fields are visible and usable without any additional subscription. Customers who subscribe to the Grata Enrichment Add-on unlock 11 additional data fields (for a total of 17), giving them a more complete view of each company. These fields are unblurred and selectable in the tracker:

• Revenue
• Employee Estimate
• Growth Rate (1mo, 3mo, 6mo, 1yr)
• Owner
• Ownership Status
• Industry
• Funding Stage

• How do I upgrade to the full Grata dataset?

  • Contact your Datasite sales representative.

 

• Are there any limits to the column count with this new Grata integration?

  • Pipeline trackers have a combined column limit of 30 for both Formula and Grata columns. Try removing unused columns or formulas to free up space if needed.

 

• Can I update or unlink Grata data once it’s been added to a tracker?

  • Yes. After a row is linked to Grata:
    • Open the Manage modal by clicking the Linked icon.
    • From there, you can:
      • Add or remove Grata columns
      • View which fields are synced
      • Click Unlink Target to stop syncing from Grata while keeping the current data in place

 

• Will Grata data update automatically, or do I need to refresh it manually?

  • Once a row is linked, any updates from Grata are pulled into the tracker without user input. This ensures the data stays current without manual refreshes. 

 

• Can Grata data be used with Dashboard widgets?

  • Yes, the Grata fields can be linked to Dashboard widgets. Fields with numbers, such as Revenue and Employee Estimate are the best candidates for widgets.

 

• Can Grata read data that I enter into a tracker?

  • No, Grata is unable to read custom data that is entered. The only thing that Grata reads is the target information that is submitted to link with Grata data.
