The Inbox feature allows project admins and any other designated persons, whether registered users on the project or not, to email files as attachments into the project. Files enter the Inbox, and from there can be moved into other locations within your project.

• Only project admins can see the Inbox and manage received content
• Inbox content is not billed until moved into a project index
  
  
  
  
  To allow users to email file attachments to the Inbox:
  
  Navigate to Settings > Inbox card, and click the gear icon.

• Email Forwarding - This area provides a project-specific forwarding address, or if preferred, a Vcard, that admins can provide to whomever they would like to have the ability to email attachment files directly into the project Inbox.
• Inbox Permissions - Select from available options:
  • Active, registered users 
  • Active, registered users and approved senders below - If selected, add email addresses (separated by comma, semicolon, or space) of persons not active on the project who are allowed to send items to the Inbox and click Save. Click the 'X' icon associated with an email to remove that uploader from the list, and suspend their ability to submit content.
  • Anyone - Click Save to accept the disclaimer accompanying this option

• Emails containing up to 50MB of total data per email can be submitted
• Zip files can be emailed, and are unzipped upon entering the Inbox
  • Unzipped folder structures are not maintained
  • Folders do not post to the Inbox, but individual files contained within a folder structure do post to the Inbox
• Password-protected files will not be processed upon entering the Inbox, but can be processed by an admin if the password is known
• Email subject or body content is ignored; only file attachments post in the Inbox

To manage content within the Inbox:
 

  1   Navigate to Documents > Shortcuts > Inbox.

• Each file displays the file name, uploader email address, file type, page count, and date/time received
• Click a File Name to view a file in the document viewer

  2   Select the desired file(s) via the associated check box(es).

  3   Choose from available actions in the options menu.

In most cases, after identifying a file, you'll either delete to file or move it into the Sandbox when in Prepare projects, or the Sandbox or Index in Diligence projects, to continue the process of building your project structure.

To move a file from the Inbox to the Sandbox or Index:
 

  1   From within the Inbox, select the check box associated with the files or files you'd like to move.

  2   Click Modify > Move.

  3   Choose your desired location and permissions settings in the Staging Folder or Index; use arrows to expand existing folders. Moved files take the next position available within the selected folder.

  4   Click Move.

Selected content has now been moved from the Inbox to the desired location.
