How do I upload large zip files?

If you are experiencing difficulty uploading a very large .zip/.7z file to a Datasite project, please contact us to review the file.

Alternatively, you may also want to try to re-upload the .zip/.7z file. In this case please note the following points.
 
  • Ensure that file is saved to your local computer, rather than on a network drive
  • If you have multiple large files to upload, it is recommended that you upload them one at a time. 
  • For large .zip files, it is helpful to split the unzipped contents into multiple, smaller parts and to upload these separately.
  • You can also use an archive utility program like 7-Zip to create split zip files without needing to unzip the file first.  We recommend splitting the file into volumes of around 1GB.
