Companies displays the companies and contacts available within an Outreach instance. Outreach users can:

• Configure companies and contacts view
• Search a company or contact
• Action individual contacts (e.g. update, deactivate, delete)
• Add companies 
• Merge company records

 Configure companies and contacts view

Column headers can be dragged and dropped horizontally to display in your preferred order from right to left. Click Columns in the right side-bar of the table to remove columns from view by de-selecting the associated check box. They can be added back at any time by selecting them again. 

A horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the grid allows navigation to view columns that may appear outside the default view.

 

 Search a company

  1   Within Companies, the Companies tab should already be selected.

  2   Search by company name. Note: Partial entries are acceptable.

 

 Search a contact

  1   Within Companies, select the Contacts tab.

  2   Search by contact name. Note: Partial entries are acceptable.

 

 Deactivate or update a contact

  1   Within Companies, select the Contacts tab.

  2   Select the blue pencil icon to the right of the contact you wish to update.

  3   Within the 'Edit Contact' form, update the fields as needed.

• 'First Name', 'Last Name', and 'Email' are required fields
• 'Companies' field:
  • At least one company is required
  • Select additional companies as desired; type or scroll to review the company list. Note: Grey entries are already associated with the contact
  • Remove a company by selecting the x to the right of the Company Name. Note: A company name without an x is already associated with the contact on at least one activity

  4   Choose Cancel, Deactivate Contact, or Update Contact as needed.
 

 Delete a contact

A contact can be deleted if it is (1) not associated with buyer tracking activities on a project and (2) removed from associated projects. Note: A contact in use on a project can be deactivated only.

To delete a contact:

  1   Within Companies, select the Contacts tab.

  2   Select the red trash bin icon to the right of the contact you wish to delete.

  3   Select Delete to confirm the deletion. Note: If the contact is associated with a company, the company name is listed.
