InformationBodyI want to download a file and am being asked if I want to install a plug-in. What does this mean? One of the options available to project administrators is adding extra file protection to files available for download. If you're attempting to download an item and are receiving an 'Optional Plug-In' message, your project admin team has enabled this additional security element. To download files without installing the plug-in, click Continue. This option is more convenient than plug-in installation, but comes with some limitations, notably: Downloaded files are in .html format and open in a browser window.Excel files running macros, larger than 15MB, and/or with cell watches enabled will not open, and require plug-in installation. If you would like to view downloaded Microsoft Office and Excel files in their native format (.xlsx, .docx, etc.), you'll need to download the Seclore Lite plug-in. Downloading and installing the plug-in is a one-time event. There is no need for any further activity after the initial installation. However, if you intend to download files on more than one device or browser, the plug-in must be installed separately for each. To Download and Install the Plug-In (see below for Mac instructions) Review the Task Instructions displayed in the download window.Click Install Seclore Lite.Select Download and install the agent for your region: USEUANZ In your downloads area, click the FileSecureLight executable file. You might receive a notice from MS Office prior to being able to view the file. A project file may open declaring the document is protected. Click Enable Editing and your file will open. Or, if editing is enabled, select Click to Download. Next, your file downloads and you will be prompted to log in to your project again. This is the plug-in checking your credentials to ensure that you have access rights to the downloaded file. Once logged in, you can view the downloaded file. You'll not need to log in again when downloading additional files in this session.* Note: You can eliminate the appearance of Microsoft Office prompts by performing the following steps for each MS Office document type: Open the applicable MS Office program (Word, Excel, etc.).Click File > Options > Add-ins. Ensure that FileSecure Encryption Provider for Microsoft Office is listed under Active Application Add-ins.If it's shown in the Inactive... list, right-click on File Secure Lite in your systems tray and choose Repair Installation. This will add FileSecure to the active list. Click Trust Center in the left navigation pane.Click Trust Center Settings > Protected View. On the Protected View screen, deselect all items.Click Ok. Future downloads of this file type will now open immediately. Downloaded items can be stored locally and viewed only by you or a reviewer with identical access rights. If a project administrator removes your access, you'll be prompted with a File Permission Error and will no longer have access to the downloaded content unless permission to do so is restored. * If you reset your Datasite login password, you must also re-correlate with Seclore to avoid errors when attempting to view downloaded files. To do so, right-click the Seclore icon (red padlock) in your systems tray ('S' icon in menu bar for Mac users) and select Logout All. This clears your current credentials, and you'll be prompted to log in to Datasite again to re-establish credentials, as during initial Seclore installation.TitleInstalling the Seclore plug-inURL NameInstalling-the-Seclore-Plug-In
