To use the project's tools to create a palette:

 

1. Go to the Settings tab and click the gear icon in the Custom Branding tile.
   
2. Click Add Color Palette.
3. Select Add New Palette.
4. Name a palette.
5. Click Add Color.
6. Enter a color's hex number starting with #.
7. Alternately, click in the color swatch.
   1. Click in the circle to the left of the hex entry field. A color picker appears.
   2. Select a color. Drag the selector across the bottom to choose a base color and drag the selector in the square to choose its hue.
   3. Click outside of the color selector to hide it.
   4. After picking a color you can also select from the options:
      • Monochromatic - Colors that are a different shade.
      • Complementary - Colors that are opposite on the spectrum.
      • Analogous - Colors that are adjacent on the spectrum.
   5. Click Save (#/#).
8. Go to step 6 and repeat at least 10 times.
9. Alternately, click Generate [x] colors to automatically add colors to your palette based on the colors already selected, up to 10.

 

Note: Custom Palettes may not meet accessibility best practices.
Choose high contrast colors for better visibility.

 

To use a template spreadsheet to import a color palette:

1. Go to the Settings tab and click the gear icon in the Custom Branding tile.
   
2. Click Add Color Palette.
3. Select Import Palette.
4. Click Download template (.xlsx).
5. Fill out the template with 10 or more Hex codes.
   Note: Hex codes must have a "#" at the start (e.g., #FFFBDD). Enter hex codes in Row 3 only.
   
6. Import the template.
7. Enter a palette name.
8. Click Save (#/#).

After a palette is created:

• In Datasite Acquire® and Datasite Pipeline® select a default palette in the Settings tab > Custom Branding tile > gear icon by clicking a palette tile and selecting Continue. Selecting a different color palette will update your Dashboard colors
• Select a color palette when adding or editing a Single Select or Multi Select column type in a tracker select a color palette
